  • All 2012 articles in AOT set to free access

    Right before the summer break there is some good news for authors and readers of Advanced Optical Technologies: All articles published in 2012 have been set to free access by our partner publisher De Gruyter. A few articles had been turned to free access after publication already, but now the publishers De Gruyter and THOSS Media decided to make all 2012 articles available to the optics community for free at the journal site www.degruyter.com/aot.

    Advanced Optical Technologies is a new journal on Optical Engineering & Manufacturing with an innovative concept addressing the needs of the industrial and scientific optics community.

    • New format of TUTORIALS  devoted to optics research in academia and industry
    • Highest quality standards with double peer reviewing
    • Registered at ISI for an impact factor
    • No page or colour charges, optional Open Access available

    So far, AOT has published 8 topical issues, focusing on selected topics of advanced optics. You may find a selection of topical issues with free articles at the following links:

    After a successful start in 2012, the journal continued this year with more high quality articles and more topical issues on topics such as Optical Design, Image Sensors and Cameras or Microscopy Technologies. Further topical issues are planned for the following fields:  Lighting & Illumination, Optical Materials, Remote Sensing, Optical Coatings, and Active Imaging.

    All submissions are subject to rigorous double peer reviewing. The journal is now open for submissions from all fields of applied optics. For further information you may read the Call for Papers or the Instructions for authors.
